The 16th ranked Colorado Buffs lost to the Kansas Jayhawks on Saturday, November 23, 2024, to a score of 37-21. Colorado did not hold a lead during this game.

Kansas opened its senior night game up17-0 followed by two Devin Neal touchdown drives, including a 24-yard field goal by punter Tabor Allen field. It wasn't until the mid-second quarter that the two CFS Heisman favorites, Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter, connected for a 51-yard passing touchdown.

On the following drive, Kansas settled for a 23-yard field goal by Allen, but Colorado would answer with an insane 19-yard rebound-like catch by college football star Drelon Miller, cutting the led to just one score. But, with less than 10 seconds, Kansas settled for its second 25-yard or shorter field goal. Kansas led at halftime 23-14.

Colorado came out the halftime break firing on all cylinders and finished their drive with 26-yard Sanders pass to college superstar Travis Hunter. However, Kansas responded by getting the ball to their work-horse Neal for his third touchdown, expanding their lead to 29-21 with 7:18 to play in the 3rd quarter.

Moving to the 4th quarter, after an unfortunate Colorado 3 and out, Kansas would score again by none other than Neal for his fourth and final rushing touchdown. Colorado would try and save themselves from an upset, but the Kansas defensive frontline was an absolute wall on fourth down. The Kansas offense would run the clock out, and secure a big 37-21 upset.
