About the event
The 28th Black History Parade and Celebration kicks off Saturday, February 28, 2026 on Martin Luther King Street at 1:00pm. The Black History Parade Grand Marshal is Senator Johnny DuPree. The parade ends at Vernon Dahmer Park. The park is filled with fun, games, & sports tournaments for the kids. Music and entertainment is powered by 92.1FM and 93.1FM. The evening ends with an annual Black History Celebration Fireworks Show at 8:00pm.
