About the event
The 28th Black History Parade and Celebration kicks off Saturday, February 28, 2026 on Martin Luther King Street. The Black History Parade Grand Marshal is Senator Johnny DuPree. The parade ends at Vernon Dahmer Park. The park is filled with fun, games, & sports tournaments for the kids. Music and entertainment is powered by 92.1FM and 93.1FM. The evening ends with an annual Black History Celebration Fireworks Show at 8:00pm.
