A hero to many and a giant in the community, local music artist known as Jay Waters died late Friday night. Jay, a talented musician who also served as an assistant band director with Hattiesburg High Tigers Marching Band, died at the hospital as a result of an ongoing health issue according to people familiar with the matter.
As well wishes begin to pour in on social media, Jay is being remembered as was one of the most beloved and humble people in the community, giving back to his community by investing his time teaching the next generation of leaders how to play the art of music he so dearly loved.
