NASHVILLE, Tenn. (THN News) - During a weekend filled with homecoming festivities, Tennessee State University gave its fans another reason to celebrate, securing its second win of the season against the Morgan State Bears at Nissan Stadium on Saturday night.

Leading the charge for the Tigers was quarterback Daylin Lee, who delivered a performance to remember. Lee showcased his versatility as a dual-threat quarterback, throwing for more than 220 yards and two touchdowns while adding 63 yards on the ground.

Whether through the air or on his feet, Lee consistently found ways to move the offense and keep Morgan State’s defense on its heels.

While Lee powered the offense, freshman cornerback Rymen Mosley made his presence felt on the defensive side of the ball. Mosley came up with two interceptions, disrupting Morgan State’s passing attack and helping the Tigers maintain control throughout the contest.

His timely takeaways proved crucial as Tennessee State continued to build momentum in front of its homecoming crowd.

The Tigers controlled the game for much of the night, showing composure and determination as they protected their lead. With the energy of the homecoming crowd behind them, Tennessee State delivered a performance that gave its fans plenty to cheer about.

For Morgan State, running back Keith Jenkins Jr. provided one of the few offensive bright spots. Jenkins battled his way to 113 rushing yards and a touchdown on just 11 carries, averaging more than 10 yards per attempt. Despite his impressive outing, the Bears struggled to generate enough consistent offense to overcome Tennessee State’s advantage.

With its homecoming victory in the books, Tennessee State now turns its attention to Charleston Southern next Saturday. Sitting at 2–5 on the season, the Tigers will look to build on their latest performance, gain momentum, and finish the season on a high note.
