Poplarville Honest Mistake: 4-Star Running Back Didn't Break The Record

POPLARVILLE, Miss (THN News)- Poplarville High School 4 star recruit Ty Keys didn't break the record on Friday Night in the win over Hancock as reported by the national media including Maxprep.

According to the Mississippi Association of Players, Ty Keys actually stats are 18 carries, 8 touchdowns & 506 yards of offense as confirmed by Poplarville High School.

The school stated it was an honest error.

The radio crew took down stats for their radio show, not as official stats for the school. In a post game interview, Head Coach Jay Beech was asked about the record breaking yards by local media, but those yards were not accurate.

After reviewing film and checking with the other school, the error was corrected.

Ty Keys still had a damn good night & is without question one of the most talented athletes in all of high school sports.
