NFL Week 7: The Dust Settles on a Wild Sunday
Bears 31, Falcons 23
Caleb Williams didn’t just return to the gridiron in Atlanta; he reminded the NFC why a healthy Chicago Bears offense is a terrifying sight. Shaking off four sacks, Williams torched the Falcons for 305 yards and a touchdown, slicing and dicing through a defense that had no answers early.
While Atlanta mounted a frantic fourth-quarter pulse, the Bears' defense slammed the door—powered by linebacker Devin Bush (7 tackles and a fumble recovery) and a front seven that suffocated Bijan Robinson into a modest 61 rushing yards.
Cardinals 18, Rams 16
Just when the LA Rams thought an overtime heartbreak couldn't get any worse, the Arizona Cardinals marched into SoFi Stadium and played the ultimate spoiler. Matthew Stafford put up a steady 222 yards and two scores, but the Rams' offense sputtered in the red zone, trapped in a defensive rock fight.
Arizona never found the end zone, yet they didn't need to: kicker Chad Ryland drilled a masterclass with six field goals, capping it off with a 43-yard walk-off dagger to drop the preseason darlings to a stunning 2-4.
Texans 34, Jaguars 31
Who hits the panic button at 0-4? Not Houston. The Texans crossed the pond to Wembley Stadium and turned an AFC South slugfest into a masterclass. C.J. Stroud answered every single critic with a 312-yard, 3-touchdown performance, setting the table for Ka’imi Fairbairn to split the uprights from 49 yards out as time expired.
Jacksonville’s two-way sensation Travis Hunter gave them a game for the ages—snagging a receiving touchdown and an interception—but it wasn’t enough to stop Houston from stealing the passport and the win.
Titans 26, Colts 20
Cancel the search parties in Music City: the Tennessee Titans finally got into the win column, and they did it the hard way in Indianapolis. Trailing at the break, the Titans flipped the script behind a complete team effort: Cameron Ward connecting with Carnell Tate for a score, kicker Joey Slye drilling a cool 4-for-4 on field goals (including a 56-yarder), and a special-teams spark that helped drag Tennessee past a turnover-plagued Colts squad.
