Mississippi High School Scores: Isaac, Hall & Keys Headline a Huge Week 6 Across Mississippi

Sheldon Isaac’s six-touchdown night for McComb, with Oak Grove’s Kellen Hall and Poplarville’s TK Keys also among the featured players, while Brandon’s double-OT victory and Itawamba’s 69-point explosion headline the team performances.

HATTIESBURG, Miss. (THN News) - Friday night delivered big performances and statement wins across Mississippi. Brandon defeated Starkville 38–31 in double overtime, while Tupelo beat West Point 34–6, Petal defeated Clinton 42–28, Gulfport beat Pascagoula 41–7, Oxford topped Grenada 23–7, Oak Grove defeated Laurel 42–20 and Warren Central beat Madison Central 42–21. 

McComb defeated Hazlehurst 43–21. High school superstar receiver Sheldon Isaac had an incredible performance that included 249 receiving yards and 3 receiving TDs, plus 114 rushing yards and 3 rushing TDs — 363 yards from scrimmage and 6 total touchdowns.

Oak Grove Star Quarterback Kellen Hall helped lead Oak Grove past Laurel 42–20, throwing 2 touchdown passes for 206 passing yards.

Poplarville's Star Running Back, Ty "TK" Keys, perhaps one of the best running backs in country, powered Poplarville to a 42–15 win over Picayune, rushing for 248 yards and 2 touchdowns on just 16 carries, averaging 15.5 yards per carry. Poplarville remain undefeated at 5–0. Keys also contributed a touchdown pass on a designed trick play, helping the Hornets earn their first road win over Picayune in 51 years. 

Itawamba AHS put up 69 points, defeating Aberdeen 69–28 and improving to 4–0. It was Itawamba’s highest-scoring game of the season and extended its road winning streak to six games dating to last year. 

Defense also dominated around the state. Heidelberg beat Leake Central 47–0, Wesson shut out Lawrence County 34–0, Terry blanked Raymond 50–0, Shannon beat Saltillo 38–0 and Mooreville defeated Mantachie 42–0. 

Other highlights include Kosciusko 58–27 Choctaw County, Gautier 56–27 Greene County, Kemper County 37–6 Northeast Lauderdale, Forest 34–22 Scott Central, Moss Point 34–29 Vancleave and Pass Christian 42–28 East Central.
