Former NFL Atlanta Falcons Player Caught with 15 Year Old Girl

GREENWOOD, South Carolina (THN News) - According to Cody Alcorn of NBC -Atlanta, the Greenwood Police Department said the girl’s mother contacted law enforcement after discovering her daughter was missing.

During the investigation, officers determined the teenager had been with Secdrick Cooper, 31, and that the two had engaged in sexual intercourse.

Police said Cooper was arrested because the girl could not legally consent under South Carolina law.

Cooper is charged with second-degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor, or attempted criminal sexual conduct with a minor, involving a victim younger than 16. He is also charged with first-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.

Jail records show Cooper was arrested Aug. 16 and denied bond on both charges.

Police said Cooper lives in Simpsonville and does not reside in Greenwood. Investigators said he and the teenager met through a mutual acquaintance connected to a workplace.

Cooper signed with the Atlanta Falcons as an undrafted free agent on April 28, 2018. He spent the 2018 preseason with the team before being waived during final roster cuts on Aug. 31, 2018.
