HATTIESBURG, Miss. (THN News) - Saturday brought chaos, especially among ranked teams. Six games matched AP Top 25 opponents, and several highly ranked programs lost. 

Florida delivered the day’s strongest statement. No. 21 Florida routed No. 4 Ole Miss 52–28, rushing for 302 yards. Jadan Baugh had 142 yards and three touchdowns, while Duke Clark added 126 yards and a score. Florida improved to 4–0. 

No. 1 Texas survived in Knoxville. Texas held off No. 14 Tennessee 20–17 after the Volunteers recovered an onside kick and earned one final possession. Texas star Colin Simmons tied the school’s single-game record with five sacks. 

Georgia cruised past Oklahoma 41–13. The No. 2 Bulldogs moved to 4–0, while Oklahoma dropped to 2–2. The Sooners committed four turnovers, including three lost fumbles.

Iowa shocked Michigan 20–19 in one of the day’s wildest finishes. With two seconds left, Hank Brown found Reece Vander Zee for the winning 16-yard touchdown, securing Iowa’s first victory in Ann Arbor since 2010. 

Other major results: Oregon beat USC 41–27; Wisconsin upset No. 13 Penn State 24–20; Wake Forest upset No. 16 Louisville 30–27; Alabama routed South Carolina 49–18; LSU defeated No. 23 Texas A&M 35–6; and No. 24 Mississippi State beat No. 19 Missouri 31–24 for its first win over a ranked opponent since 2014. 

The new rankings should feature major movement after losses by No. 4 Ole Miss, No. 12 USC, No. 13 Penn State, No. 16 Louisville, No. 18 Michigan, No. 19 Missouri and No. 23 Texas A&M.
